Oh Zut! Poisson d'Avril 2017

Happy April Fools Day 2017!

In France, they would tape paper fish to the backs of their victims as a prank. When they discover the fish, the prankster would exclaim, "Poisson d'Avril!" or "April Fish!" The more you know!

Happy April Fools Day 2016!

In France, the French would tape paper fish to the backs of their victims as a prank. When they discover the fish, the prankster would exclaim, "Poisson d'Avril!" or "April Fish!" Ended up painting that fish from my last post.

 Nice.

Drawing Dump 1

I found an internet forum thread that challenged people to draw everyday for the month of March. I joined late (the 21st actually haha) to warm up and it was way more fun than I expected. Here is every drawing in chronological order:

It was really fun!

Happy April Fools Day 2015!

In France, the French would tape paper fish to the backs of their victims as a prank. When they discover the fish, the prankster would exclaim, "Poisson d'Avril!" or "April Fish!" This year I wanted to add more color so I added another fish. Haha!

Inktober 2014

Took the Inktober challenge and stuck to it all 31 days! Here are some of my favorites.

Oh Zut! Poisson d'Avril 2014

Bonjour à tous! Aujourd'hui est Poisson d'Avril!

In France, the French would tape paper fish to the backs of their victims as a prank. When they discover the fish, the pranker would exclaim, "Poisson d'Avril!" or "April Fish!" Was super rusty in my painting, so it's not as inspired as last year's. Had fun making a cutout version of it though!

Happy April Fools Day 2014!

Cross Fox Sketch

Not feeling it lately.

Red Fox Sketches

Had a bad drawing day, so here are some red foxes... without the red I suppose.

Dog Sketches 1

Some dog sketches, yo.

Haven't drawn animals since 2011. I'm hoping the anatomy isn't too bad. Forgive me, Tina!

Oh Zut! Poisson d'Avril 2013

Salut mes amis! Aujourd'hui est Poisson d'Avril!

In France, the French would tape paper fish to the backs of their victims as a prank. When they discover the fish, the pranker would exclaim, "Poisson d'Avril!" or "April Fish!"

Happy April Fools Day 2013!

Bird Painting

Been practicing digital painting. Never really had much instruction in school, so it's pretty different.

Wish I took more painting classes. Thank you emilie-stock for the reference image.

ART 337 - Animal & Wildlife Drawings

It's been a while since my first post. I've decided to post some of my sketches and school assignments here along with a couple thoughts thrown in. Whatever. Welcome me back!

Last semester (Spring 2011) I took ART 337 Animal & Wildlife Drawing with Tina Schmidt. It was one of my best courses I've ever taken at Cal State Fullerton.

Here are some of the things I've picked up:

Yeah, the motion studies were pretty fun actually.
