The title is Glyphs Of Sorrow and it premiered on the CSUF PMC Film Festival this year. I wanted to create something outside my comfort zone and tried to do something a little creepy I guess. I also wanted an excuse to work practice After Effects as well, so this was a perfect way to do so. I'm not going to re-upload images from earlier blog posts, but I will add tags to those posts so that if you click on the keyword at the bottom you can see some of my work-in-progress stuff.
My characters Nail, Jason, and Kacky make their cameo appearances in the glyphs. In the film, I only used 18 out of 20 glyphs: the first one would be the guy with 3 hairs (row 4 column 1) which was a character concept for a different film idea I wanted to do but had no time to; and the second one I just kinda forgot to use (row 2 column 4).
The above is an instructional image I sent out to people to help me come up with designs.
Looking back, I wished I could have asked some people to help me with my movie. I only had a month to really animate anything and I was pretty much a one man team. I had to cut out a lot of my ideas in order to meet the deadline, so that was a bummer. Regardless, I'd like to thank Katie Hardash, Rachel "Sailor Ember Phantom" Clark, and Marcus Lazore for all your help and support!
